Bios of speakers:

Joe McFadden Joe is the co-founder and CTO of GetZero, a Green Skills EdTech start-up. Their mission is to help young people get job-ready for Net Zero, and match them with companies in sectors like Built Environment and Energy who need skilled workers to help them decarbonise quickly. The GetZero e-learning platform uses AI & gamification to deliver a personalised and engaging learning experience Before co-founding GetZero, Joe had 20 years experience leading Technology teams in a range of sectors. He has led digital transformations at world class organisations such as the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre, and was CTO for HealthUnlocked, the world's largest social network for patients.

Alistair Johnson Why would people invest in you or buy from you? How to present your wonderful idea to the outside world? Who is your competition and what are the killer features that your clients are going to love, what problem does your marvellous idea solve for your clients… With over 40 years business experience defining, selling and having fun with services and solutions focusing on Education and Technology I will attempt to help you answer these key question and obviously, who will buy from you and why? I nurture a sourdough starter call Douglas, was part of a winning team for the Sydney – Hobart Race and seen Everest with my own eyes.

Carl Crisostomo Carl is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Learning & Development (L&D) and EdTech, specialising in scaling businesses and fostering impactful partnerships. As the founder of Carl Learns, Carl empowers startups to navigate complex markets, optimise their offerings, and connect with key stakeholders. His extensive career includes leading sales teams at top organisations such as Saba, and Cornerstone, where he developed innovative solutions and secured partnerships with global brands like Rolls Royce and Vodafone. Carl’s unique expertise lies in aligning technology with business goals, offering services like community matchmaking, business diagnostics, and strategic guidance for startups in the EdTech space.

Christian Eckley Chris is an accomplished business leader with a heritage in IT solution sales and product marketing. Experienced in large enterprise working at companies like IBM managing multi million dollar budgets as well as fast moving, entrepreneurial environments where, as founder and CEO, I bootstrapped, scaled and sold a data analytics business.
